Julio A. Portalatin is Vice Chair of Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC), a leading global professional services firm in the areas of risk, strategy and people. Prior to joining MMC as a Vice Chairman, Mr. Portalatin served as CEO of Mercer, a MMC company and leading global professional services firm that delivers advice and technology-driven solutions to help organizations meet the health, wealth and career needs of their workforces in more than 140 Countries.

Under his leadership, Mercer:

- Expanded its global footprint and increased revenue from growth markets, which now represents more than 50 percent of the firm’s revenue growth.

- Advanced into the digital space through acquisitions, such as of Sirota, innovative partnerships, including one with PayScale, and the creation of people + digital marketplace solutions.

- Grew assets under delegated management to more than $240 billion and assets under advisement to $11 trillion+.

- Launched innovative wealth offerings and created a portfolio of solutions focused on the financial security of clients and their employees.

- Developed a client group offering deep industry, people, investment and risk knowledge specifically tailored to the needs of multinational companies.

Since 2017, Mr. Portalatin has been on the Board of DXC Technologies. He actively supports several nonprofit organizations and currently sits on the boards of Covenant House International and Hofstra University. He has been a steward of the World Economic Forum and has shared insights with a range of media including The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, CBS, CNBC + Fox News.

Prior to joining MMC, Mr. Portalatin held numerous leadership positions with AIG. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and honorary doctorate from Hofstra University.
