2020 AARP UN Briefing Luncheon

This high-level meeting held during the 58th session of the UN Commission for Social Development is a moderated conversation on the preliminary findings of global discussions with private sector leaders and knowledge partners conducted by AARP, World Economic Forum, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development on inclusive multigenerational workforce practices and the business case for an age diverse workforce.

Speakers include senior officials from the United Nations and private sector. The objective is to explore the public sector’s role in creating a policy environment that creates and invests in an age diverse and inclusive workforce ecosystem for all.

2nd International Summit on Aging & Gerontology

The Aging & Gerontology-2020 Conference is concerned with social aspects and implications of aging, cellular & molecular repair of age-related damage as the basis of therapies to bring aging under control. Aging & Gerontology-2020 goal is to understand age-related diseases and disabilities, and to propose new insights.

The Aging & Gerontology-2020 Conference will explore the interconnections between these key features in the contemporary landscape. It will explore the ways in which aging, as a vector of in/equality, impacts social participation over the life course. In these times of new nationalism, what kinds of policies and practices should we be developing for an aging population?

IFA 15th Global Conference on Ageing

The 15th Global Conference on Ageing is being convened at the Hilton Hotel and Suites Niagara Falls / Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls, Ontario on 1-3 November, 2020.  The IFA is proud to be supported by an international network of partners and is committed to creating an environment that enables older people to do what they value through a deeper evidence-based understanding.  The Conference will feature prominent experts presenting and discussing critical issues within the field of ageing.

Under the title “Rights Matter” conference findings aim to respond to the intersection of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the priorities of the WHO Global Strategy and Action Plan. Presentations will be focused on four central themes: Addressing Inequalities; Age-friendly Environments; Combating Ageism; and Enabling Functional Ability.
